School is the best place where you can learn!

School is a learning place for students.


At school you can learn many subjects like maths, reading, writing and spelling. The purpose of going school is to learn so you can have a education. Some schools have events some don’t.


A school has many facilities like the library or the office and the classroom. In school we have some programs like kiwi sports they run every sport in schools and APOPS they have music and instruments.


In school we use books,laptops and net books.The head of the school or principle does a lot of paper work like writing down what's happening at school so the government will know or writing down rules so we can all follow it.


In our classroom the teachers work very hard to give us an education to have a better life and a better future.The school sometimes go to other places like MOTAT, the theatre and observatories.

It is important to have an education because it helps you get a better future and gives you more options when you grow older.

Lucky I did not drown in the pool!

Friday after school, my dad picked me up and took me home so I can get my things for my swimming lesson at Panmmure lagoon, my lesson started at 4.30 pm.

My instructor's name is Joseph. The first thing he got us to do was freestyle kick all the way to the end of the pool. He told us to watch him as he went underwater to show us how to do it. We put on our goggles and went underwater as he instructed.

He was kicking fast like a speeding bullet to the end of the pool. We all gave it a try and did exactly what he did, he said, "You all did good."

The next thing he wanted us to do was backstroke. It's exactly like freestyle but backwards. It was hard because the water kept coming into my mouth and I tried my best not to swallow any of it. I concentrated on doing the backstroke and finally made it to the end.

Then he wanted us to do was dolphin dives. He dived deep down and flicked his feet together at the same time, swimming like a mermaid.

I did not think I can do it because we had to hold our breaths. When we swam like dolphins it was quite a distance to the other side the pool. I was scared that I might drown to my doom. But my instructor told me that I had to do it and I just had to trust him that nothing bad will happen to me.

Finally made it to the end of the pool the lesson was over we high fived each other then I went to the changing room and dried myself, got changed and went home.

I enjoyed it and I am looking forward to my next lesson this coming Friday.

My fun weekend at Teenz's house!

Last Saturday, I woke up to a bright summer morning, I was really happy because it was a beautiful morning. I got out of bed and rushed to the kitchen to have breakfast. After that, I played Minecraft, I built a house out of wood glowstone and glass.


Next I did some chores around the house, like cleaning the bed, taking out the rubbish and wiping the table, Then my baby cousins came and I got their large and heavy luggage.


After that, my mum told me to get ready because we were going to Teenz house for a BBQ, So I rushed to get read but when I was rushing I accidently bumped into my cousin. I said, "Sorry!" to him and kept going.


After a while, we were all ready my mum took us to Teenz's house. When we got there, my cousins, auntie and my nana were already there. After I greeted them I played with my cousins.


After a while, the BBQ was ready so we all grabbed a plate filled with meat patties, steak and sausages. After we were finished, I went to go play games with Masi, we played GTA 5.


After that, we said, "Bye" to everyone and went home.

I had a good time at their house. I wish we could go again soon so we can have more fun together and more food next time.

I have seen the best Maori performance!

On Friday we were split into 4 different groups. Our mission was that we had to go on Youtube and find a Maori song to perform for the class. We picked the Maori version of head, shoulders,knees and toes it goes like this Upoko,pakawiwi,puku,hope,waewae,

First we had to memorise the song before we could practise it. It wasn’t hard for the group to memorise the whole song and Greshka choreographed the movements. Next we made signs in English so everyone knew what the Maori words meant.


After we made the signs, we practised and practised until we were ready. We were a bit sad about not being able to perform on Friday, but Miss Chao told us that we had time on Monday. On Monday after morning tea, we had another practise that time. My favourite performance was Immanuel’s group and then it was our turn.

We got our props and started the song. We were holding onto our props while Greshka did the actions. I felt happy because we did our best.

My most exciting day ever!

Last Thursday, When I woke up it was a beautiful morning. I got up and played some Minecraft.

I built a wall and a sky watch tower, plus black hawk helicopters around a village. After that my mum told me to get ready because we were going somewhere. She didn't tell me where we were going to but I was very excited.

I got ready in my shorts and a shirt. After a while, we were all ready so my dad took us to Hunters Plaza where we met my cousins D.J, Alfred, Mulx and Anna. We also met up with my auntie Lani. We were only there to weigh in because my whole family has entered a competition and there was money to be won. I wasn't included because no kids were allowed, I know because I'm the youngest in my family.

After our weigh in, I asked my mum if I could go with Lani and D.J. She said, "Yes."  So I went with Lani to Spice traders. At Spice traders, there were a lot of food options so I ordered butter chicken and it was yum.
Then I went with Anna and the others to Ten Pin bowling in Manukau.

When we got there, my dad set up a place for us to play but we had to put on some shoes first otherwise it could be dangerous. I imagined that the ball dropped on my foot. If it did, my foot would have been a flat pizza, Ouch! So I quickly put on some shoes. The first person to bowl was Mary Ann and when she bowled, the ball zoomed across the bowling area like a rocket. Then it was Mulx, then dad, then Alfred, Daniel and I was last to bowl. I came in last place at the end of the game. Then we all went home.

I had a good time at Manukau Ten Pin bowling club. I hope we go bowling again so I can come first place next time.

I wish I can travel to Japan, it is such a beautiful country!

Did you know that Japan is made out of hundreds of island but the four main islands are Hokkaido,Honshu,Shikoku and Kyushu.

Japan faced it's greatest  and most devastating earthquake that   hit the East coast near Sendai on March 11th,2011.

According to legend,Japan was founded by Jimmu.He was the first emperor in 660 BCE. At that time a wave of people from the mainland Asia called Yoyoi took over the Jomon country and it became the dominant culture in Japan.

Japan has many varieties of turtles,lizards and snakes.The Japanese salamander can grow to about 4 feet (1.2 meters) long.Japan has about 150 spices of song birds,as well as many other types of birds.

Japan is a very beautiful country because it has many cherry blossom trees and the tree symbolize the nature and life in Japan.

Rest in peace, all those that died during the war!

World War 1 started in 1915 when Germany wanted to take over the world but other countries wanted peace and that’s how World War 1 started.

Germany declared war on the British government. New Zealand was part of the British empire, so they joined forces with New Zealand, Russia, Australia and France. A total of 30 countries were involved in the war.

Life in the trenches was hard as the British and France recruited manpower from China to support the troops with manual labour. Their main objective was digging the trenches before the main attack. More than 140,000 labourers from China helped to dig the trenches for the allies in the Western front.

Powers on one side and central powers on the other, the war went on from the 28th of July 1914 until 11th of November 1918. Between the allies and the central powers of Germany, the war ended on the 11th of November 1918 when the allies won and the rest, as we all say, is history.
