I wonder why oil is used in sacraments?

Oil is used in sacraments to show the Holy Spirits actions and presence.

The anointing with chrism oil at baptism shows that the baby is being anointing by the Holy Spirit.

The anointing of chrism oil at confirmation shows the Holy Spirit choosing people to share more in the mission of Jesus.

The anointing of the sick shows the Holy spirit binging healing, strength and peace to a person.

We are learning to understand how oil represents the Holy Spirit.

I know this when I explain the three sacraments that anoints people with the oil.

Can you carry the cross to heaven?

We are learning to reflect on the message that we have heard today.

Poor Piwakawaka, trying to find his home!

Yay, Minecraft is back!

We are learning to use the features of a slogan.

Fire burns evil, water makes new life and wind blows away things!

WALT understand how water, wind and fire represents Holy Spirit.
I know I can do this when I retell the scripture stories of Exodus 3:1-12 and Exodus 14:15-25 in my own words.

Noooooooo, not the dinosaurs!

This story is about a boy named Arg who is looking for a cure for the dinosaurs that have been infected by people flu. One day he finds his dinosaur friend skeet( a T-rex) unwell so he goes with him to find a cure. Skeet takes Arg to a herd of stegosaurus that have not been affected by the bad people flu.

So Arg used his bare hands to take the snot from one of the stegosaurus' nose, because he knew that would cure them. He got blasted with snot and he was disgusted but he knew that he had to do it for the dinosaurs. So he walked back to the secret valley and all the dinosaurs in that area licked Arg and then they started to get better. Arg was glad that all the dinosaurs were better and he retreated back to his village with pride. However, he had red spots all over him. Skeet took him on his back to his village and dropped him off there.

Arg's mum came charging out of the village and picked up her sick son and carried him into the cave and dumped him on his bedrock. He wondered if saving the dinosaurs was worth him being sick.

My favourite part was when Arg got blasted by the snot and when he saved all the dinosaurs.  

We are learning to develop understanding of the text that we read.
