  1. Kia ora Julius,

It really was so sad to read about the whales, wasn't it? I have to admire the incredible work that the locals did to try and save the beached whales. I hope that, next year, the whales are able to avoid swimming so close to shore and, instead, stay out in the deep water.

I had the chance to watch whales swimming in the ocean a few years ago and it was just magical. My son, Aronui, and I were staying in Tonga and we saw an entire pod of whales go by one day. We both stopped making our sandcastles and just stood and watched them. I have never seen anything quite so spectacular as a family of whales swimming and splashing together!

Have you ever seen whales swimming in the ocean?

Keep up the great work with your blogging, Julius. It's wonderful to have you participating in the Winter Learning Journey programme this year!

    Cheers,
    Rachel

  2. Hello Ayesha,
it's Julius from St Patrick's School, I'm replying to the question you asked about sparing time for whales and yes I would, because it is sad to leave a beached whale lying there and they are magnificent and graceful creatures and I maybe should next time, add some more information.
