The cottage is very special to the whole of Panmure it is there for us to learn about it to know what was it like in the 19th Century.

The cottage has a lot antique things in it there were old washing machines, tools furniture and there was volcanic rock from Mt Wellington that exploded many years ago.

One of the rooms upstairs had old photos of the 19th Century. There were a lot of photos collected and and stored in the cottage. There were old photos of the old hotel, fire station and Panmure bridge.

Back in the days the cottage didn’t have electricity they use candle’s and they used coal to make a fire.

It is important that we maintain Panmure cottage because it is there for us to learn about the history of Panmure.
